JOHN THOMPSON III graduated from Fort Worth Country Day, Vanderbilt University, and The University of Texas School of Law.  John is a Partner in the Oil and Gas/Energy Practice Group at Kelly Hart & Hallman, LLP.  He currently serves as the President of the Alumni Association of Fort Worth Country Day, is on the Board of The Steeplechase Club, and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.  The Fort Worth Business Press honored John with its “40 Under 40” Award in 2009, which recognizes individuals for their professional success and community involvement.  He has also been named a “Texas Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters service, on several occasions.  John has served on the city council since 2012.
