Replat Requirements

  1. Secure the services of a registered public land surveyor (RPLS) to prepare the re-plat.
  2. Provide the Community Development Department with an original and two copies of the proposed re-plat.

The Community Development Department will deliver the required notices of the proposed re-plat and schedule the public hearing. Property owners are encouraged to contact adjacent property owners apart from the public notice.

Once approved by the Town Council, the property owner should record an original re-plat of the property in the Tarrant County Records Department and furnish a copy of the recorded re-plat to the Community Development Department.

Note: To be approved, the re-plat must receive the affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the Town Council.

To file a protest of the replat, a written instrument signed by at least 20 percent of the property owners residing within 500 feet from the proposed re-plat must be filed with the Town Council prior to the close of the public hearing.
