Award PhotoAt the March 17, 2015 Town Council Meeting, Chief Burgess was presented the “Certification of Recognition”, Texas Law Enforcement Best Practices Recognition Program, from the Texas Police Chiefs’ Association Foundation, Inc.  To qualify for best practices recognition, the Department completed a year-long departmental assessment, meeting the required 166 best practices standards.  The Westover Hills Police Department is the 109th police agency out of approximately 2400 agencies statewide to complete the assessment program and be recognized.  The Department must continue its professional performance and adherence to the best practices standards in order to retain the certification.
