(1) Secure the services of a registered public land surveyor (RPLS) to prepare the replat.
(2) Provide the Town Council thru the Building Department:
(a) An original and two copies of the proposed replat;
(b) The names and addresses of all owners of land within 500 feet of the lot (s) to be replated; and
The Building Department will deliver the required notices of the proposed replat and schedule the public hearing. Property owners are encouraged to contact adjacent property owners apart from the public notice.
Once approved by the Town Council, the property owner should record an original replat of the property in the Tarrant County Records Department and furnish a copy of the recorded replat to the Building Department.
Note: To be approved, the replat must receive the affirmative vote of at least three-fourths of the Town Council.
To file a protest of the replat, a written instrument signed by at least 20 percent of the property owners residing within 500 feet from the proposed replat must be filed with the Town Council prior to the close of the public hearing.
